They feature an extra-heavy .055 in. thick steel core and a magnetic drain plug, along with trap door baffles to keep oil at the pickup in even the most severe conditions. Most Econo pans have an expanded metal directional windage screen and crankshaft scraper, for maximum oil control and more horsepower. Their increased oil capacity improves bearing life and engine durability. These pans will accept a stock GM starter, and come in a red painted finish.
