Due to changes in the current oil available the following changes are necessary in regards to warranty on flat tappet (Solid or Hydraulic) camshafts. For ANY warranty claim to be valid the following HERBERT parts must be purchased and used at the time of camshaft installation. Street cams (less that .500 lift, and less than .550 lift on big blocks) are warranted for a period of 1 year from date of purchase with proof of purchase and required installation parts. Race flat tappet cams (more that .500 lift on small blocks & more than .550 lift on big blocks) only carry a warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, they do NOT carry any guarantee against wear due to the extreme usage of racing. If you follow the proper installation instructions your new Chet Herbert cam will give you the type of performance that has won races and made us leaders in valve train innovation since 1949.
