The new 6ALN Ignition were designed with circle track racing in mind and are approved for use by NASCAR. It feature MSD's race winning capacitive discharge ignition design and are combined with heavy duty vibration protection.
NASCAR has added a new rule (20-6.1) requiring all ignitions to have the same 6-pin Weathertight Connector. This ignition feature the correct connector to form a positive locking and sealed connection.
The cast aluminum housing provide a solid mounting foundation for the circuit board and transformer. For added protection, a two part silicone elastomer encases the circuit board making it impossible for parts to vibrate loose. To top it off, the ignition is equipped with sturdy vibration mounts.
The 6ALN features a built-in Soft Touch Rev Control and will install to points, electronic ignitions and magnetic pickups and is supplied with matching wiring harnesses.
