Crane CompuCam camshafts have special profiles designed to improve engine performance without sending the computer into fits or causing the stalling surging and drivability problems some computer-compatible cams are known for. Cams are 50-state-legal and come with lifters. This part carries CARB E.O. number D-225-25. For use in California on GM 262-400 engines in 1981-87 passenger cars 1981-92 trucks with standard or feedback carburetors. Special Note: Computer engines require a highly unique lobe profile to be compatible with the vehicles electronic capabilities. The cam specifications for Crane CompuCam camshafts should not be compared to other non-computer controlled cam specs.
