These legendary Tri-Metal 77 high performance engine bearings incorporate the strength of a copper-lead alloy layer, on a steel backing, overlaid with a precision electro-plated white metal babbitt material. The steel backing provides durability and strength; and the white metal babbitt overlay provides the critical surface characteristics of embedability, slipperiness and conformability. This ideal bearing design has properties that are not found in many original equipment bearings.
